As the the YMCA is often the “Y” and the service club was started as men and women of and for the Y” –hence the name “Y’s men club”

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Each of the eight geographical of Y’s men international is headed by an area president and is composed of regions of which there are two in Africa area. Each administratively headed by a Regional Director, elected by the member clubs of the region. The Regional Directors also serve as members of the Areas Council.”
WHAT WE DO
Y Service clubs provide a a variety of services to their YMCA’s and their communities. In addition, services are provided to the individual clubs by the international and Area officers & clubs members. At Africa area level, each of these service types are administered by a Area Service Director Appointed by the Area President with concurrence of the Area Council
